Alumni Accomplishments

Here are some nifty facts about some of the alumni who graduated from OnSTAGE in Oklahoma.  
  • Oklahoma OnSTAGE Alumni have over 35 Broadway credits. 
  • Four different Alumni have worked on a total of seven different Tony Nominated Shows

2018 Revival of Oklahoma!  
  • Eric Cornell is the first (and so far only) Onstager to win a Tony.  He was a producer on the 2018 Revival of Oklahoma!
  • Katie Pearl was the first Onstager (and so far only) Onstager to win an Obie Award with the 2003 production Nita and Zita.  She is also has been a Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University and an Anschutz Fellow at Princeton, where her teaching and research focus on the concept of the Artist-Citizen. 
  • Onstagers are alumni of several top universities.  There are two Yale Graduates, one Harvard Grad as well as alumni from Brown, NYU, John Hopkins, London School of Economics, and UCLA. (And Texas grads have gone on to schools such as Grinnell and Tulane)
  • There have been at least six National Merit Semi-Finalists and Finalists among the Oklahoma Onstagers. (And among our Texas grads there has been one Finalist and two commended scholars)
  • Onstagers have graduated from many top arts programs including: NYU, Webster, Cinncinatti Conservatory of Music, Evansville, Emerson, AMDA, North Carolina School of the Arts, Cornish School of the Arts, Oklahoma City University, West Virginia University, and there have been at least ten musical theatre graduates from University of Oklahoma.  
  • Onstagers have gone on to work as professors at many different universities including OU (voice professor, college of musical theatre), UCO (dance) , Rutgers (scenic design), Boston Conservatory at Berklee (senior level business of acting),  Rider University (musical theatre), and UCSD (directing).
    
  • There are numerous Onstagers who did not go on to a career in the arts.  There are doctors, lawyers, a chemisty professor, an anthropology professor, teachers (early childhood-college) ministers, a therapist, and writers.  Many of them still perform in community theatre productions and some have not performed since high school.
